摘要:This study presents results obtained after lichens, parmelia sulcata , was used to investigate manganese concentrations near roadside environments. It was observed that the average manganese concentration in the study area, 540.032±19.896 mg/kg, exceeded the background concentration by a factor of about 1.03. The manganese concentration on the eastern and western sides of the road exceeded the background by factors of 1.05 and 1.01, respectively. P4 ranked first in Mn levels in the zone with a concentration of 1561.763±10.754 mg/kg, exceeding the background concentration by a factor of 2.97. Other observations showed that an inverse relationship exists between the suspected source of Mn emission and the proximity to the road. Traffic studies conducted in the study area also revealed that Mn emission could be directly proportional to the traffic volume.
