摘要：The Standing Committee on Finance and Ad-ministration (STACFAD) elected a new Chair, Bob Steinbock (Canada). STACFAD once again strongly urged that Contracting Parties with outstanding con-tributions take immediate action to meet their finan-cial obligations and bring financial stability to the Organization. A number of measures were adopted to this regard including (a) a provision that the NAFO President writes a formal letter to Contracting Parties in arrears, (b) the obligation to present finance plans by such Contracting Parties and (c) establishment of a contingency fund in 2009. Furthermore, the Com-mittee noted a frequent delay in the submission of catch statistics and appealed to NAFO member states to submit catch reports in a timely, complete and accurate manner. NAFO adopted a budget of $1,618,000 for 2009.
