摘要：The paper presents a variety of approaches to estimate the efficiency of public expenditure. There are distinguished three economic objectives of policies in the pursuit of better performance of public expenditure: macroeconomic sustainability, allocative efficiency (better outcomes per unit of public expenditure) and technical efficiency (less resource inputs per unit of public output). Therefore, expenditures are analysed in terms of macroeconomic costs and consequences, allocative and technical efficiency.
