摘要:Lay people usually consider reading as a natural or instinctive process; once people can speak, then they can read. However, this assumption is not true. There are many schoolchildren struggling to learn to read. Those who have difficulties in reading are usually diagnosed with a problem, e.g. dyslexia. This literature review will examine the reason why some schoolchildren have problems in reading. The article will start by introducing the historical background and the definition of dyslexia, and its causes and characteristics. Finally, the possible treatment and the resources for dyslexia will be discussed.
