摘要：The current Ethiopian Treatment Guidline (ETG) for the management of heart failure (HF) was published a few years ago by the Medical Authority of Ethiopia as a result of a collaborative effort among prescribers, dispensers and public representatives. In an unpublished survey conducted by the Howard University-Addis Ababa University Twining Partners program, the ETG was found to be the most commonly used source of medical information in the country. However, since the release of the guideline, a number of new recommendations have been reported in the western literature. In this paper, the current HF treatment guideline is evaluated, with the intention of sharing new pointers which can be considered in formulating an updated version of the guideline.
