摘要:To understand how the human being is related to the environment he lives in implies several aspects which belong both to cultural and biological anthropology. To study the elements which influence the ways of settlement and anthropization of territory in a space-time direction is very useful in today’s society, characterized by dynamics of change at different levels. VEMA, the theme of the Italian Pavillion at the Tenth Biennial of Architecture 2006, prooves the great dialogue potential between anthropology and architecture, in order to find practical solutions in the XXI century’s urban context and the value of an interdisciplinary approach between different branches of anthropology. This article presents the general background of the project, that will be studied in detail thereinafter.
