摘要：In case of underground excavations in argillaceous rock and wet environments, reckless of the used support system, a contour distortion occur, by the bulking process and cumulative action of foothold pressure in the floor area. Without proceeding to carry out again the mining works of trimming and reinforcing, the solution of getting the optimum size for excavation shape on its entire operation time, consists in redesigning the metal support used in terms of extending the original pillars and adopting a higher profile, with reserves of convergence for counteract the deformation process of rocks in the floor and thus reducing the profile.
