  • 摘要:In this paper the degree of approximation between estimated and measured values concerning dimensional and geometrical deviations of parts performed on vertical machining centers programmed with TopSolid software is experimentally investigated. In order to achieve this analysis, we designed a representative part shape for two axis machining, that requires the use of the main features of TopSolid Cad and Cam modules, and that implies the use of the main manufacturing processes that usually may be met on a vertical machining center. Using the mentioned software, the machined part deviations were estimated and it was also created the numerical control program for processing. After the inspection of the part processed on the YMC 1050 machining center, the comparison of estimated and measured data concerning some dimensional and geometrical deviations has shown that, if the setting of the involved parameters is correct, their estimation in TopSolid is good enough for the case of parts that require medium and fine accuracies.
