摘要:A PCM-enhanced wall system was proposed and a simplified model for the heat exchange between the indoor heated environment and ambient was developed. The objective of the study was to assess the effect of occupancy pattern and ventilation on the energy savings for heating that the proposed wall system is capable of achieving. It was found that the energy savings in absolute values do not depend to a significant extent on the occupancy pattern and ventilation. The occupancy and ventilation pattern were found to influence the indoor temperature evolution during transient periods when changes of the set point temperature values occurred due to occupancy pattern requirements.
