摘要:In this work FT-IR (400-4000 cm-1) and FT-NIR (4000-10000 cm-1) spectra of 101 samples of milled barley grains (various varieties and hybrids) were measured. Obtained spectra were normalized and their 1st derivatives were used for principal component analysis (PCA). Both spectroscopic methods showed differences in barley grain composition. The set of barleys was divided into several clusters containing similar samples. Despite the fact that direct correlation between obtained results and content of β-glucans was not found, a group of barleys containing small amounts of these polysaccharides was successfully separated from the majority of samples.
