  • 标题:VPLYV RÔZNYCH SELEKČNÝCH KRITÉRIÍ NA TVORBU ODRÔD EFFECT OF DIFFERENT SELECTION CRITERIA ON VARIETY DEVELOPMENT

  • 摘要:The aim of the work was to describe the development of wheat breeding at the given locality, the current crop improvement developments and trends. In this work 12 inbred lines developed at the breeding station Víg.a. – Pstru.a during 1968 – 1996 and another 3 varieties released after the year 2000, all belonging to an old landrace grown in the 1940s were used. The experimental material was divided into four blocks according to the year of their development, the older lines were placed in the first group and lines and varieties developed after 1990s were placed in the fourth block. Materials were sowed a in stationary trial in 12 different fertilization variants in two replications. The trial kept rack of wheat breeding. In the year 2007 yield increase in the 4th block was of 0.28t.ha-1 in comparison to the 1st block; while in 2008 the increase was of 0.8 t.ha-1 and it was 1.58 t.ha-1 in 2009. The breeding programe also considered other traits such as thousand grain weight, harvest index, weight of grain per ear, number of corns per ear, number of ears per m2. Values of these traits in the 4th block were higher in comparison to the 1st block. Yield results were higher with higher level of N-fertilizer application. Modern materials of the fourth block reacted to insufficiency of nutrition by decreasing the yield, where as the older materials of the 1st block maintained the yield performance even under insufficient nutrition conditions. This phenomenon can be explained by the older material has been adapted to nutritional deficiencies in the process of breeding, and so at present can achieve high crop yields even under nutrient stress conditions in contrast to the modern varieties.
