摘要:Polyphenolic compounds are secondary metabolites present at many plant species including potato. Their content depends on various factors, such as cultivar or cultivation conditions. The aim of this work was to determine cadmium and zinc influence on total polyphenolic content (TP) and total antioxidant activity (TAC) in potato tubers. In potatoes grown under model conditions of vegetation pot trial using the soil with graduated loading by Cd and Zn the influence of soil contamination on TP content in potato tubers was not confirmed. The values of TP content obtained during two years were in the range 84.59 - 576.81 mg.kg-1 d.m. after Cd and 91.12 - 1061.81 mg.kg-1 d.m. after Zn application. The differences between two observed cultivars were statistically significant. The determined values of TAC were after Cd in the range of 8.17 - 8.98 % and after Zn application in the range of 4.61 - 7.98%. The correlation between cumulated Cd or Zn content and TAC was not confirmed.es.
