  • 摘要:The aim of this study was to find out how the biological needs of ewes are satisfied during machine milking on selected farms. The recording of working time during machine milking was used to evaluate the milking routine during machine milking applied on two farms (D8 and D24; where the cipher represents the number of ewes milked per milker) in common practise. The milking parlours were designed for 24 animals and equipped with 12 standard milking units. The number of milking places per milker and the number of milking units seems to have an important effect on machine milking time. Machine milking time and also total milking time were significantly shorter for farm D8 than for farm D24 (67±1 s vs. 151±2 s in D8; 90±1 s vs. 160±2 s in D24; P<0.0001). In contrast, shorter machine stripping time was recorded for farm D24 and longer for farm D8 (7±1 s, vs. 23±1 s; P<0.0001). The number of milking place per milker had significant effect on milking time in tested farms (P<0.0001). With increasing number of ewes per milker the difference in machine milking time of ewes between the first and the last milking places with in the bounds of order attaching clusters on udder increased.
