摘要：Pero Budak is a playwright who uses a realistic style, the authentic speech of the hero and is well acquainted with theatrical techniques. He is a supporter of the new realism, has an excellent knowledge of all laws of the scene, and selects his characters from milieus which he completely controls both intellectually and emotionally. His themes cover all areas of life, from love, hate, jealousy, inheritance and the desire for it, the influence of politics on people, the issues of economic emigration to the psychological analysis of characters, from art to rivalry, birth and death… Budak has peeked into each corner of the human heart and has won over his audience with the language and style close to the everyday language spoken by most people. This paper gives a comprehensive analysis of the themes, ideas, structure, language and style of Budak's plays.
