  • 摘要:The Europeization of education in Europe is an expected natural process which remains inevitable even without the integration of Europe. This statement can be supported by over thirty declarations, recommendations and decisions of multi-Iateral European and international associations which without exception plead for identical solutions within national systems. Thus, dealing with the issue of a close relationship between the Croatian system of education and the average imagined European system is one of the fundamental problems. The author deals with the basic questions of defining the system of education, and with the theoretical and conceptual determinants the system is based on, as well as numerous questions that were not taken into account, or at least, not as they should have been. Contemporary education in Croatia, meaning the integral educational system including the education of teachers, should have been rethought anew even if democratic changes had not occurred (and with the arrival of democratic changes this issue has gained great importance, but not nearly adequate enough answers). A great number of critics of the current situation in the educational system of Croatia deal with separate problems, but not until the latter are put together do they give a vague picture of the totality of numerous questions and problems. Such a situation is characterized by the author as one of complete neglect concerning professional approach and scientific foundation, as one of voluntarism and lack of expert judgement. A significant theoretical and civilizational departure from already adopted articulate norms in conducting changes in educational systems, especially in European countries, has with the assistance of numerous unwise decisions decreased and invalidated attempts at developing the educational system in Croatia. Based on many complex questions, usually expounded, the author endeavors to unite all expert and scientific potentials at our disposal in order to systematically direct this most Vital, greatest in number and for the future of Croatia most decisive social activity towards establishing a modern and democratic system of education.
