摘要:The article provides descriptive data on two complex ceremonial periods: the Lent Carnival and Easter. The Lent Carnival lasts from the Three Saints' Day to Ash Wednesday and is marked by evening dances, masquerades of men's societies, burning of a straw doll, and by election of a King and Queen of Silba. Easter customs are marked by tieing of church bells, »beating« benches in the church, and making of special kinds of bread and pastry.
