摘要:This work analyses the functions of Shopping Centre Kaptol in the central part of Zagreb. The results of the questionnaire survey carried out among the Centre visitors points to a prominent significance of the social role of the Centre as a place for leisure and entertainment, especially for the younger population in the evening hours. The Centre's spatial organisation and development strategy, as well as the visitors' perception, refer to creation of a “new” public space and place for social contact in the urban structure of Zagreb.
