摘要：The paper presents essential distinctive traits of Zagreb agglomeration development starting from its first beginnings at the end of the 19th century until contemporary period. The special accent is given to the change in poles of population concentration and direction of rural – urban migration. The southern periurban part of agglomeration is the focus of analysis, but continually compared with city core and other periurban parts of agglomeration.
