摘要：This paper presents results of a research conducted in 2007, the purpose of which was to investigate examinees’ attitudes about Croatia’s accession to the European Union. The Research of Croatia’s accession to the EU was actually a part of a much wider research about social mobility in which 956 examinees were involved. The European Union is a very important factor in development of international economic and political relationships in the world, and this is the reason why Croatia’s accession is important for Croatian society. Regardless of the fact that Croatia has been going through the period of transition and although the fear of losing their national identity and cultural heritage still exists among people, the research shows that more than half of the examinees expressed their support for Croatia’s accession to the European Union.
