摘要:Summary For the purpose of controlling sulfonamides, samples of meat (n=350), then meat products such as sausages (n=59), pates (n=13) and hams (n=8) and also fish (n=46) and eggs (n=278) were collected from all areas of the Republic of Croatia. The concentration of sulfonamides was determined using validated enzyme immunoassay. The method detection limit was 1.7 μg/kg for egg and 2.1 μg/kg for meat, and the detection capability (CCβ) was 4.9 μg/kg for eggs and 59.9 μg/kg for meat. Determination of sulfonamide concentrations in meat, meat products, fish and eggs ranged from the minimum value of 0.001 to the maximum value of 84.9 μg/ kg. There is no concentration exceeding the maximum residue levels (MRL) of 100 μg/kg determined in any of the samples tested. Considering the low concentrations of sulfonamides established, it can be concluded that there is no misusage of sulfonamides and that when animals are treated, drug withdrawal period is taken into account and in that way usage of the controlled meat is suitable for consumption.
