摘要：The phenomenon of free time is being observed within today’s socio-pedagogical context in which young people have a chance to choose the activities they prefer. It is an extraordinary privilege to complete their personalities, on the intellectual as well as on the emotional level. Its use is found in the function of rest, entertainment, leisure, development of personality and in the process of creativity. The conditions for the development of disposals, preferences and abilities are created in it, the gift and talent for a particular field are discovered and it facilitates the development of all human qualities. Free time is distinguished by the tendency of free choice of the activities in relation to the needs of the participants, their interests and possibilities. It implicates the creation and covering of effective possibilities for the realization of the desired aims. To each child free time is an assumption for the complete development of his/her personality, learning and education, and at the same time it is prevention in forms of behaviour disorders. Especially important we consider pupils' free time in extracurricular activities that, with their quality can become a relevant factor in their growing up and development.
