摘要：This article analyses the Holy Ghost festivals organized by immigrants from the Azorean island of Santa Maria (Portugal) in the US city of East Providence, RI. The article stresses the diasporic dimension of the festivals and the way in which they combine tradition and innovation, faithfulness to roots and adaptation to a new social and cultural context.
