摘要：A poll has been carried out among experienced Dubrovnik nautical captains and the Maritime Departmant students of the University of Dubrovnik about the familiarity with our old colloquial terms. It has been shown that these terms are fairly fast disappearing from generation to generation of our seafarers nowadays. Whereas today’s officers are familiar with about 70% of old maritime terminology from the poll,the students-future seafarers recognize considerably fewer than a half of offered terms.
