摘要：The essay deals with the important guidelines for futher development of charts and publications. At the very beginning, charts and publications were undivided and in time they were separated in teo integral parts, and then united again in a whole as a unique product – electronic chart. During such a process the most important characteristics of charts and publications of any type have been evident i.e. their accuracy. Their functional connection with the maintenance procedure has been established.
