摘要：In 1983 a group of researchers (HERAK et al., 1983) suggested that Muć Gornji village in Croatia should be a reference area for the European Upper Scythian. The palaeo-faunistic and lithostratigraphical characteristics of this locality supported the proposition. The standard section is set along the bed of Zmijavac brook in Muć Gornji. The main part of the locality is in the Muć and Sutina village areas; the slopes in the north of the Muć-Sutina Valley are built of Lower Triassic layers. In the 1983–1991 period and later, I collected ammonites, with biostratigraphic control, in the wider area of Muć for the Natural History Museum Collection in Split. I also made precise biostratigraphic surveys, including of the standard section. The results present an important addition to the biostratigraphic scale published by HERAK et al. (1983:97). The biostratigraphically more significant ammonite species belong to the genera Tirolites, Dinarites and Carniolites. The Muć-Sutina locality is shown on the enclosed topographical map.
