摘要：Between the years 1981–1986 and 2001–2010, 102 butterfly species were identified in the Pazin area and four surrounding localities. The estimated diversity and endangerment status of certain species is discussed. Also, a comparison between past and recent lists of species is also given. Including historical records a total of 104 butterfly species are known from Pazin region. Thirteen species recorded during this research are new for Istria.
