摘要：In the article the author discusses the establishment, the activities and the closing of the School for Teachers in Zadar after World War II. In the beginning she analyzes the reasons for the establishment of the school, then the material conditions of the school, the organization of the curriculum, the school’s equipment and the life within the school. She gives a list of its teaching staff and presents the programs of the preparatory classes, of the pedagogical courses and of the regular course of study. She acquaints us with the work in the exercise hall, in the cooperative, in the pedagogical center and in the pupil’s college. Through a depiction of the life in the school she reveals the social background, especially the behavior of students and teachers during Tito’s split from Stalin and describes the beginnings of the public administration of schools.
