摘要:SUMMARY: Leonardo de Vinci’s well-known drawing of a man fitting his body to a circle is used as a symbol in biomechanics as well as in ergonomics. In our investigation human body proportions were adapted to a different circle – the Zederbauer harmonic circle from the early 20th century. This circle generates a series of numbers called harmonic numbers. These numbers were applied in the analysis of different natural, artistic and architectural buildings to prove their harmony. Furthermore, sounds and colors also create harmonic systems composed of different harmonic wave lengths. In the Zederbauer circle we used the standing height of man as diameter, this height being equal to the sum of eight head lengths. After that we inserted, in a geometrical combination, characteristic points that represent the human joints, and thus we were able to form a wire model of the human body. The resulting lengths of different body segments showed strong correlation with human anthropomeasures. Moreover, we established that there was a rather good harmonic relationship between the segmental masses in the human body. This method is successfully used for modeling in the field of biomechanical analysis of the human movement.
