摘要：The article presents an analysis of legal regulations governing the institute of direct ruling in the new Law on General Administrative Procedure. Therefore, in his introductory remarks the author, first of all, stresses the direct ruling relevance in regard to the conduct of effective and economic administrative proceedings. In the central part of the article, the author scrutinises the institute in detail and with a special attention compares it with the institute of summary proceeding. In concluding remarks the author briefly presents abovementioned basic issues and thesis and emphasises official persons’ duties to equally protect rights of the parties while directly rendering decisions on administrative issues.
