  • 摘要:The poll aimed to establish the patterns of PE attendance was conducted with 1136 secondary school students aged 15 to 19, who were asked a set of questions about their attitudes and beliefs. The results obtained may suggest the following conclusions. 76% of tested students regularly attend PE classes, 13% do it only occasionally, and 11% are exempt from PE classes. Gender and education level factors do not significantly influence the attendance patterns, whereas type of school they attend does. Male students attend PE classes more regularly than female students. Male students are, however, more prone to occasional or frequent truancy, which is the most prominent in the third grade (frequently) and second grade (occasionally). Grammar school students have the most regular attendance of PE classes, and students attending technical schools have the highest incidence of truancy. Whereas most female students who skip PE classes spend that time at home, their male colleagues tend to spend it in town. x test scores confirmed the differences between the two groups. We may therefore conclude that there is a significant difference between male and female students regarding PE attendance, as well as between how they spend the time when they skip classes.
