摘要:On the sample of 893 female and 355 full-time male students at the University of Split, aged 19-25, we have analysed the differences in their kinesiological engagement as well as the differences in the body mass index from the point of view of the level of their kinesiological engagement, separately for male and female students. We have determined a disturbingly low extensity of the kinesiological engagement, primarily in female students. Variance analyses of the body mass index among male and female students with a difference in kinesiological engagement did not show any statistically significant differences. Variance analyses of the body mass index among male and female students with a difference in kinesiological engagement did not confirm the assumption that respondents with a higher level of kinesiological engagement have a lower body mass index. This is particularly obvious from the sample of female students which leads to a conclusion that the volume of weight loads of the kinesiological engagement was not sufficient for the production of changes in the morphological status, or perhaps to the fact that female students with a higher body mass index and more sub-skin fat tissue are more engaged in kinesiological activities particularly due to the fact that they are trying to reduce it.
