摘要：This paper will take in consideration the current situation of the Albanian financial system after two decades of transition towards market economy and analyzes the barriers and challenges that lie ahead on the path of development. The analysis considers three segments of financial system: banks, debt market and capital market, without underestimating none of them. Based on the experience of developed countries we have given some consideration and have observed several problems related to the role of the financial system and economy as a whole.
