摘要：Earthquake is one of the important problems that must be solved. For solving this problem; countries must unite and work for an effective solution. Every person has a duty in this study. Because of high seismic risk, Turkey is faced with life and property loss in earthquakes. In this paper; for minimizing earthquake effects; graduate and undergraduate earthquake engineering courses in civil engineering departments of universities are examined. It is observed that; in civil engineering departments of universities of Turkey, graduate and undergraduate courses are not enough and earthquake laboratories are insufficient. For solving this problem; setting world standard earthquake laboratories and increasing education quality for keeping up with modern countries is recommended.
