摘要:The aim of this research is to investigate secondary school students’ dysfunctional attitudes and their human values. The study has a correlational research design. The sample consisted of 547 students studying at various secondary schools. Two scales were used for data collection; a Human Values Scale developed by Dilmaç (2007) and a Dysfunctional Attitudes Scale developed by Weissman and Beck and translated into Turkish by Şahin and Şahin (1991). The findings indicated that four factors of the Dysfunctional Attitudes Scale and six factors of the human values scale were related. Moreover, the factors of the human values scale were found to explain the perfectionist attitude, need for approval, autonomous attitude and tentative attitude factors of the dysfunctional attitudes scale.
