摘要：This paper presents some aspects of maintenance of production equipment (machine tools, facilities, production lines, equipment, etc.) based on which it can be ensured a more effective use (exploitation, service). It proposes an interesting approach to tracking equipment operation, which allows: gathering relevant information, outlining the reasons for downtime, identifying solutions to increase equipment reliability, repair cost calculation and determination of necessary budget for maintenance activities, determine the losses caused by downtime and more realistic assessment of the production capacity. Some tools that enhance maintenance management activities and ensure more effective use of equipment are also presented.
