摘要：In this work it is presented the level of soil loading with heavy metals in the area of Rovinari steam power plant in Gorj county, Romania. Among all the types of anthropic soils they are very spread in Gorj county and they are the result of the surface excavations for valorisation of the coal in the subsoil of this area. In order to establish the degree of soil loading with heavy metals in the area of Rovinari steam power plant there samples were collected on several cardinal directions and at different distances from the steam power plant considered as a potential source of pollution with heavy metals. There were sampled proofs on two depth profiles, 0 – 10 cm, during two years, 2009 and 2010. The accomplished measuring regarding the level of soil load with heavy metals in the influence area of Rovinari steam power plant prove the dependency of their concentration to the industrial activity and to the meteorology factors.
