摘要：This paper presents a current issue of higher education around the world, namely sustainability (sustainable development). The paper points out that sustainable development of Romanian higher education is more than a challenge; it is an opportunity not to be missed. Romanian university management must be continually improved so that the available resources allow and ensure the sustainable development of universities. This paper presents the stages that universities must go through in implementing the concept of sustainability and highlights the necessary changes of such an approach.
