摘要：The natural reservation Sohodolului passes has as a purpose the protection and the conservation of certain habitats and important natural species, under floristic, faunistic, forest, hydrological, geological and speological aspect. The natural reservation has a length of about 6 km, containing the south sector of Passes, the most spectacular and important one.Sohodolului passes are composed of cretaceous limestone that favoured the karstification phenomenon representing the feature specific to this landscape. The natural reservation is crossed from north to south by Sohodol river. Sohodol’s waters have a mixed, surface flow combined with the subterranean one. Vâlcan Mountains are mainly composed of crystalline and magmatic rocks.
