摘要：This paper presents aspects regarding the activity developed in Jilt South Matasari quarry from Gorj county. The quality of surface waters is altered due to the discharge of technological waters and sewage loaded with polluting matters resulted from mining activities. Samples of technological waters and sewage were collected every season for a period of 2 years, 2008 and 2009, the main indicators were determined through chemical analysis tests, and resulted values were compared to the limits according to the relevant legislation.
