摘要：Rosia Jiu quarry is located in Rovinari Coal-bearing Basin, the opening being made through an interior opening pit located within the perimeter, in its south-east extremity. In order to assess the pollution degree of environment factors, soil samples were taken from the potentially polluted areas with PCB, as well as water samples from the anthrop channel draining underground and rain waters from the quarry and air samples, in order to determine sedimentable powders and breathable powders. Samples were chemically analysed and indicators values were graphically represented and compared to allowed limits, according to the relevant legislation.
