摘要：The world needs increasingly more energy to sustain growth and to keep closing the bridge between the rich and the poor. At the same time, there is a growing understanding of the importance of an increased use of sustainable and clean energy sources. Consumers are demanding it and the business sector sees it both as part of their corporate social responsibility but also as a promising new business area. The paper points out the main goals of EU and Romanian renewable energy policies and the stage of renewable energy sources and consumption.
