摘要:The last forty years have seen moments of tension and of rapprochement between feminists and ecofeminists, between the experiences of life and thought of women in the North and South of the world, and between undifferentiated gender views and environmentalist issues. What space is there today for the “awareness of the limit” that decades ago drove the international women’s movement to radical criticism of endless economic development, guided by the dynamics of relentless, sure scientific and technological progress? These are some of the issues I wish to discuss in the current context of a crisis and a dominant discourse that evokes “growth” as a guiding value, and proposes in increasingly serious terms the race towards the devastation of the planet. Today, women’s movements are returning to unresolved issues, while the need for responsible decisions becomes ever more urgent.
