摘要：Early medieval hoard from Wolin — The aim of this paper is to study the relation between locality and globality on an example of a single hoard from Wolin. The analysis of the content will make it possible to answer the question about the significance of this finding for the local community. It will also show the cultural and trading connections between inhabitants of Wolin and the rest of the early medieval world. An investigation of reasons for depositing silver hoards will reveal broad contexts of the early medieval culture and help to see this single hoard in comparison with worldwide phenomena. The hoard from Wolin can be seen as a part of global cultural ecumene — a world system of world culture.
