摘要:Physical fitness of the aged patients with cardiovascular disease was self-monitored and compared with that of elderly healthy people. Oxygen intake is found to decrease with increasing ages, so that the age may be available as an indicator of physical fitness. However, individual differences, especially in the aged, cannot be ignored when using the indicator. When prescribing exercise, it is considered important for the aged patients with cardiovascular disease to receive habitual exercise stimuli, that are suitable for their heart function and may lead to the preservation and improvement of their physical fitness.
