摘要:An exercise test method by using stand-up exercise by one leg was newly developedas a simple, safe method of evaluating physical fitness. Subjects consisted of 4 hemiplegic patients (2 in their 40's and 2 in their 50's) and 18 healthy controls (12 in their 40's and 6 in their 50's). They first sat on a chair, of which height was set at the length of the lower leg of each subject, beside parallel bars, and grasped the bar by their uninvolved/dominant hand. They are then instructed to repeat stand-up movements by uninvolved/dominant leg for 3 min at intervals of 6, 7, 8 seconds. There was a positive correlation between the frequency of stand-up movement sand the increase in HR in healthy controls (coefficient >0.9, p<0.05). A significant difference in the frequency of the movement was observed between subjects in their 40's and those in 50's when their HR were 100 beats/min. Under the condition that their HR were kept at 100, two hemiplegic patients who continued doing exercises could perform the movement at higher frequency than those who had to discontinue doing exercises. It was assumed that HR100 pace can be available for evaluating physical fitness of a patient.
