  • 摘要:The purpose of the this study was to determine the optimal immersion time for the hot packs in the hydrocollator. Hot packs were first immersed overnight in the hydrocollator and were left on the back of the subject for 30 minutes. Then, one hot pack was reimmersed and the temperature of its center was measured. Moreover, after reimmersed for 5, 10, 15 and 20 minutes, each hot pack was placed on the back of the subject and the surface temperature underneath the hot pack was measured. The results were as followed: 1)The surface temperatures of the skin under the hot packs which had been reimmersed in the hydrocollator for 5 and 10 minutes were lower than that for 24 hours. 2)There was no difference between the surface temperatures under the hot packs which had been reimmersed for 15 and 20 minutes and that for 24 hours. About 15-minute reimmersion time is assumed to be adequate for the use of the hot pack.
