摘要：The relationship between body sway at a standing posture on one leg and strength of pediphalanx flexor muscles or plantar flexor muscles was examined using twelve healthy adults who had no anamneses in their lower extremities. Each data obtained were converted into the ratios left to right, taking subjects' physical characteristics and living environment into consideration.There was no significant relation between body sway and strength of plantar flexor muscles. On the other hand, a significant relation was observed between body sway and strength of pediphalanx flexor muscles, especially at the longitudinal sway. Regarding a standing posture on one leg as one of walking actions, it was suggested that pediphalanx flexor muscles may play an important role in walking stability, especially in longitudinal stability.
