摘要:In order to prevent diabetic patients from falling into hypoglycemic condition during their exercises, we performed an experiment to elucidate the permissible intake of sugar before exercise. Thirteen healthy female subjects (average age; 20 year-old) took 8 grams (group A) and 16 grams (group B) sugar dissolved in 100 grams water before twenty-minute bicycle ergometer exercise, of which exercise load was 50 watts, and their change in blood-sugar level was examined. In both groups, the average blood-sugar level was slightly increased after exercise, but showed no significant change with respect to t-certification (P<0.01). There was no significant difference in change of blood-sugar level between the two groups (P<0.01). Results obtained suggest that an intake of 8 grams sugardissolved in 100 grams water before exercise might be effective for preventing hypoglycemia during this kind of exercise
