摘要：This paper aims to asses the complexity of some widely used open source security components. The complexity of those components, in terms of volume is large in comparison with the complexity of applications built on these components. Having well developed and comprehensive open source components open the way for obtaining highly functional products with little effort. Mobile applications characteristics are presented, highlighting the complexity. Various types of computing complexity metrics are presented. Open source security components are described and their complexity is computed. Comparisons are made and indicators are built to assess the importance of these components in the development process. A hierarchy of the open source components is then created, based on this complexity.
