摘要:Recently we witness a variety of social software that can be used in mobile settings. We here discuss how the integration of functionality such as messaging, media sharing and awareness cues involves several challenges that go beyond simple aggregation. We present the iterative design and evaluation of mobile social software that integrates aspects of the above areas. The first version called mGroup proposes stories as common messaging spaces and collections that both serve messaging and media sharing. In the second prototype CoMedia awareness cues are integrated in the platform within stories and in contact lists. We reflect on the qualities of openness, multiplicity and continuity of functionality and discuss the multiple roles of integrated features in the appropriations of users.
